Development and production of a customer-specific power supply for a cashless ticket machine
Challenge
A suitable power supply with UPS function was required for a fully conceived and designed ticket machine. The particular challenge was the short development time and the specified confined installation space.
Solution
A project team of experts developed a system consisting of a customer-specific lithium-ion battery pack with integrated BMS and a custom-fit control board for energy management and communication with the machine.

The new machine is intended for mobile use in a wide variety of rail vehicles and buses. In addition, it can also be used in railway stations and advance booking offices. In the basic version, it enables contactless payment with EC/credit card as well as with mobile phone. It offers not only ticket purchase, but also additional applications, display of departure times or the possibility of call center support for the customer when purchasing tickets.
